Physiotherapist

Dr. Domján Andrea

I am Dr. Andrea Domján, a physiotherapist, health educator, and medical and health sciences translator and interpreter with a doctoral degree in Health Sciences.

I have been working as a university lecturer at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Social Studies at the University of Szeged for 21 years.

Physiotherapy has been a part of my life since childhood, and I chose this helping profession following the example of my mother.

From the very beginning, I found it exciting and appealing that the practice of physiotherapy, which employs diverse methods and requires personalized responses and creative thinking, demands and enables continuous development for both the patient and the physiotherapist. I am impressed that much of our experiential knowledge regarding the effectiveness of physiotherapy can now be validated through scientific research methods.

Scientific findings support and substantiate the methods used in practice.

To ensure continuous development, I update and expand my knowledge through professional courses, which is well complemented by the experience gained from my research activities.

"I am not paralyzed, I am not ashamed, and I am not afraid. I do not despair. I am capable of filling my life with my own self. I am also great, and within me are multitudes. I can still stand up, I can open the doors and windows of my life, and I can step outside." – Robert Fulghum
