Dr. Ágoston Dóra

I am Dr. Dóra Ágoston, PhD, a dermatologist, venereologist, and cosmetologist specialist. I was born on April 17, 1988, in Kiskunfélegyháza. I completed my secondary education in the advanced foreign language class at Móra Ferenc High School. I speak and write English and Romanian at an intermediate level. After undergoing a childhood dermatological treatment, I decided that I wanted to choose dermatology as my profession. I obtained my medical degree in 2012 at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Târgu Mureș.

After obtaining my degree, I started working as a dermatology resident at Dr. László Elek Hospital and Clinic in Orosháza, but from 2013, I completed my full dermatology training at the Dermatology and Allergology Clinic in Szeged, where I still work part-time.

At the clinic, I acquired extensive knowledge in all segments of dermatology.

I have been regularly conducting scientific research since my university years.

In 2012, I achieved first place at the local Scientific Student Conference.

In 2014, my presentation on our initial experiences with the application of daylight PDT was chosen as the best presentation at the Annual Meeting of the Hungarian Dermatological Society.

Since 2016, I have been a member of the ECT working group.

In 2022, my publication titled 'Multimodal Treatment Options for Merkel Cell Carcinoma' won the Best Therapeutic Publication Award of the year in the Dermatology and Venereology Review, based on the votes of the editorial board.

I am a participant and speaker at numerous national and international conferences, and I am a member of the Hungarian Dermatological Society and the EADV (European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology).

I obtained my PhD degree in November 2023.

I am the happy mother of three small children.
